Description

Prunus ‘Accolade’ is a breathtaking flowering cherry tree, grown for its abundant soft pink spring blossom and its value to early pollinators. Flowering generously before many other trees have awakened, it becomes a vital source of nectar for bees and other insects emerging into the new season.

In early to mid-spring, its arching branches are smothered in delicate semi-double blooms, creating one of the most uplifting sights in a wildlife-friendly garden. As the year progresses, fresh green foliage provides light shade and seasonal structure, while the tree’s branching form offers shelter for insects and small birds.

Best planted in sun or light shade in well-drained soil, where it will develop into a graceful small-to-medium tree over time.
