Bohemian Bauernwehr

Description

Mid to late 15thC Bohemian Bauernwehr with the distinctive exaggerated step between the blade and the grip. Used for working and fighting as demonstrated by the strong single edged blade and nagel.  This one has an boxwood grip with tin, steel and brass decorative rivets, copper inlaid makers mark and comes with a double layer veg tan sheath in deep blue with stamped and incised decoration and a bronze chape.
